Instead of returning to school, she heard explosions outside her window. For more than a month, Oleksandra stayed with her family in occupied Kherson. The occupiers searched their house several times in search of weapons. They managed to leave only in mid-April. The checkpoints were accompanied by the sound of explosions. In Vinnytsia, Oleksandra won an essay contest organized by the Museum of Civilian Voices of Rinat Akhmetov Foundation. In her essay, the girl shares the sadness of a person who is forced to flee her own home.
