Iryna Kolomoets

"There was a hit to the room where my mother was"

For the first few weeks of the full-scale invasion, Iryna tried to take her sick mother out of Mariupol. In March, one of the enemy shells hit the metal ceiling of the roof of the house where her mother was. The beam took the hit, but everything in the attic, including the furniture, fell on Iryna's sick mother lying there. Her heart stopped, there was hardly any BP. The woman miraculously came to her senses; she was carried out by the neighbors from the destroyed house. Because of the stress experienced, she still does not remember how she was taken out of her native Mariupol.
