Olena is the head nurse of the Kyiv Hospital Ohmadyt. On February 24, she went to work. She returned home 40 days later. Her working day started at 5 a.m. and ended at midnight. After that, Olena started communicating with volunteers to send the necessary medicines and food to the hospital.

Olena still hears the cry of the mother of the first wounded boy who was shot on the highway. Wounded children were brought to Ohmadyt from all over the region. The hospital did not turn away adults either.

Despite the enormous workload, Okhmadyt stood up and managed to help the children who needed it. And after the enemy retreated from Kyiv, the hospital also turned into a humanitarian headquarters that redirected aid to the de-occupied territories.
