On 2 January 2024, a Russian missile exploded in a residential neighbourhood of the Solomianskyi district in Kyiv. One of the houses on Mokra Street took the worst hit.

Oleksandr took warm clothes and medicine for his father from the apartment. There were broken windows and hinges at home. Many friends and acquaintances responded to help those in trouble. People united to overcome the consequences of the tragedy.
