He wanted to save his family from the occupiers, but died at the hands of the russian military. The russian occupiers shot dead Vasyl Kladko, an experimental physicist and deputy director of the Vadym Lashkarev Institute of Semiconductor Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, in Vorzel, Kyiv Region.
The man went to Vorzel to save his family: his wife and grandchildren, but as the russian military had entered the town, the family did not have time to leave.
The colleagues remember Kladko as a wonderful man and a professional who headed the scientific department for many years.
