Hanna lost relatives during the occupation of Kyiv region. Her husband’s nephew was shot dead on March 5 when the enemy entered the village. The Shylan family buried the deceased and, despite the risks, left through the occupiers’ checkpoints for the territory controlled by Ukraine. Hanna’s cousin was killed. Her brother went missing when he went to Novyi Korohod to look for their mother. Two more cousins are at war.
