A windbreaker jacket became a shield for my 11-year-old son Kyrylo. He almost died when a shell hit near School No. 63.
On 5 November 2014, the children played football on the school playground. As a result of the shelling, two of the nine were killed right away.
Kyrylo was one of the four victims. He still lives in his house near the airport and hears the sounds of volleys here and there. Kyrylo became withdrawn after what he experienced. He does not want to return to school any more.
It took two months to restore the leg. Traumatologists managed to extract the fragments.
