Tetiana Lastovych lost her brother, mother and husband in this war. Her brother, the soldied of "Azov" Yurii Luhovskyi (call sign "Barrett"), was a legendary sniper. He died near Vodiane a couple of years before the full-scale invasion.
Tetiana's mother, Natalia Luhovska, decided to continue her son's legacy and became a psychologist of the "Azov" regiment. Tetiana married a military man Oleksii Lastovych. The couple had two girls. Tania was pregnant for the third time when the full-scale russian invasion began. The war caught the family in a village near Mariupol. "Azov" soldiers Oleksii and Natalia immediately stood up for defence.
Her husband died in late April 2022. And a few days later, same happened to her mother. Russians dropped a powerful air bomb on the bunker of the "Azovstal" plant where the psychologist was staying.
The third child was born in Zaporizhzhia. The son and grandson of the fallen defenders was born to the sound of sirens. The boy was named Illia. From the maternity hospital, Tania was met by the comrades-in-arms of her deceased husband.
