The Aksenovs

"We hear the echoes of war every single day"

We are a large family of Aksenovs, immigrants from the town of Makiivka, Donetsk region. We have three wonderful girls growing up: born in 2015, 2011 and 2009.

In September 2014, after the shelling of our city, we were forced to leave our apartment to save the lives of our children (we had two of them  at that time) and our own lives.

So we settled in the village of Novobakhmutivka, where our father has a job. The village is very beautiful and green, but there are a lot of abandoned houses in it now. Many people left for other regions, because the fighting here since August 4, 2014 has not stopped until now (2017).

Yes, the shooting is not as intense as in 2014-2015-2016, however, we hear the echoes of war every single day.

We would like to express our huge gratitude to Rinat Leonidovych for the food aid that all members of our large family except dad receive.
