“The worst thing was a rocket landing on the neighboring street. My friend’s parents were killed”

In the sixteen years of his life, the war has befallen Danylo twice. When he was 6 years old, he came under fire in Sloviansk. In 2022, it happened again. The family left the city when a neighboring street was shelled with rockets. People, who Danylo knew well, were killed.

Danylo told his story as part of the project “Rinat Akhmetov for Children. Peaceful vacation for children of Ukraine". The project, in the format of a children’s camp, provides psychological rehabilitation, recreation, and recovery for children affected by the war.
