From February 26 to March 21, Mykola Khrystoforov, head of the anesthesiology and intensive care department, was at Hospital No. 4 with his wife, two daughters, and two grandchildren.
“It was cold. Freezing cold. Massive shelling from the sea by artillery and air raids. All the buildings around the hospital have been damaged. The outpatient clinic has been damaged. The neurology department building. Surgical, therapeutic, and children’s infectious disease departments continued to operate. Andrii Hnatiuk and Anatolii Kazantsev were killed,” recalls Mykola Khrystoforov.
