Sofiia's relatives warned about columns of heavy equipment and tanks of russians which were already approaching the Kherson region. Unfortunately, the girl and her mother could not immediately leave their native Kherson, and fell under russian occupation. Until April 2022, Sofiia and her family lived in tension and fear, until they managed to leave for the territory controlled by Ukraine, where her father met them. The memories of that long-awaited meeting still bring tears to Sofiia's eyes.
