Residents of the village of Yahidne, Chernihiv region, have been kept in the basement of the village school for a month. Almost the entire village was put there – about 350 people with small children and the elderly. There was so little space that only children and the very weak persons could sleep lying down. All others could only sit or stand around the clock.

Because of the suffocation and the large number of people in one room, the elderly began to lose their minds. This school basement in Yahidne became known as a concentration camp, Anzhela Predko, who was also captured along with her family, says.
