On the eve of the invasion, Naum went to his grandmother's house in a village in the Kherson region. His parents stayed in Hostomel. His grandmother's village was under occupation from the first days of the full-scale war, and Naum was in a trap.
He recalls the most terrifying moments, the Russian warships, which were clearly visible and audible from the shore.
Later, the boy was forced to go to a Russian school, and if he refused, they threatened to take him to an orphanage. Naum did not see his parents and sister for almost two years. Naum's mother eventually managed to bring her son home.Â
The boy told his story during the Blogger Camp, organised by the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation in cooperation with the Office of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights.
