Larysa Nikonova has been the head of the neonatal intensive care unit at Okhmatdyt for many years. On the day of the Russian missile attack on the hospital, there were seven very seriously ill children in her unit. The enemy missile hit a building located a hundred metres from the unit. Thanks to the right actions during the alarm, the children were saved.
