At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Mariia worked as a teacher in an Irpin school. On the morning of February 24, 2022, she came to work to coordinate the students. Everyone was convinced that the hostilities would quickly stop and the school would resume the educational process, so Mariia stayed in the city until March 9. Together with her family, she hid from the shelling in the garage and cooked over a fire. At the first opportunity, Mariia left the city and joined the educational process remotely – the school building was heavily damaged by shelling. When she returned to Irpin, Mariia dreamed of only one thing: that the rest of the towns and territories would be liberated from the russian invasion.
