A mother of three, Iryna Yazova, a general practitioner who had never worked in intensive care before the full-scale war, never delivered a baby, never treated gunshot wounds, became a saviour for the people of Bucha. Under fire, she moved around the occupied city in search of medicine, helping everyone who came to her. She became a real guardian angel. She says: “Anyone would have done the same in my place”. Most of all, Iryna wants to return home.
