At the beginning of the war, Oleksandr Hladkyi was in the hospital after surgery. The family decided to take the boy home. The next day, this place was already under Russian shelling. Explosions became a common thing in Kharkiv. Many Sasha’s favourite beautiful architectural facilities were damaged.
Three or four months after the start of the war, Oleksandr and his family decided to leave Kharkiv for Poltava. It was a new stage in their lives, but the memories of their hometown and the fears they had experienced remained with him forever. Sasha told his story while participating in the project “Rinat Akhmetov to Children. Peaceful Rest for Children of Ukraine”.
