“We wept. We rode over corpses and electric wires. We just wanted to live”

From February 25 to March 19, Nina and her four-year-old son lived in the Youth Community Center in Mariupol. She cooked food for a hundred people. Nina is a cook. She met Oleksandr in the bomb shelter. On March 2, he came there with his eight-year-old daughter, Milena. And two weeks later, when Nina was leaving, Oleksandr confessed his love to her. The story ended with a wedding on the territory of Ukraine. But before that, the couple experienced terrible shelling, saw death, and parted without hope of finding each other again.
