Tetiana worked for a local newspaper. She is so dedicated to her profession that despite the explosions and general panic on the first day of the full-scale russian invasion, she went to work. Tetiana joined pro-Ukrainian rallies and, together with other citizens, took to the streets of Melitopol to oppose the russian troops. The kremlin's military occupied the city almost immediately. They set up checkpoints and began to intimidate the locals. Tatiana had to leave her hometown.
