“I got a call that my husband had burned down”

Valeriia is the wife of a Mariupol defender. On February 24, she left the city for Zaporizhzhia. But a tragedy almost happened and her baby ended up in the hospital. All this happened under the cannonade of explosions. The woman recalls how scary it was. But the trials were just beginning. She also remembers the train station and the terrible crush to get on the train. And the news that her husband had died. But Valeriia refused to believe it. And one day she heard her husband’s voice in the phone again.
