Yevheniia and her mother left Volnovakha at the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Zaporizhzhia region. They stayed there for three weeks and then evacuated to Lviv. Later, the family moved to Kyiv. The girl’s stepfather, a defender of Azovstal, was taken prisoner. He was exchanged in the summer of 2024.
