On the first day of the full-scale invasion, Liudmyla Demchenko, a senior nurse at the admission department, came to work. Her shift lasted for a week and a half. The worst part was opening the hospital doors at night. No one knew for sure: was it our soldier or the occupiers knocking?

At that time, Russian sabotage reconnaissance groups entered Vasylkiv, and there were battles on the outskirts. The wounded people were brought in critical condition.

Sometimes the first examination of the victims was carried out in the dark. They used only flashlights from their phones. It was because of the saboteurs that the hospital introduced a light camouflage regime.
