When Orikhiv came under the massive shelling, Oksana took her children to Zaporizhzhia and returned to her hometown. She distributed humanitarian aid and came under fire several times. One day, as a result of the shelling, a man was killed, a friend’s leg was blown off, and Oksana herself was wounded and suffered a concussion. Later, her husband was severely wounded. He spent three and a half hours on an operating table. Although he survived, he will remain disabled for life.
