Tamara Chernyavska

"Bullets were hitting, dead bodies were lying, I covered the baby with myself"

"The hardest thing is when "Iskanders" are flying over you while you're feeding a baby". During the invasion, Tamara got right into the middle of a submachine gun battle on the outskirts of Kyiv, and then almost got caught in the occupation when the enemy was advancing from Chernihiv region to Kyiv. It was only two kilometers to the front line. But the invaders were stopped right on the border of Pukhivka, a village in Brovary district.

After that, it was a long way to Truskavets. There the International Charitable Foundation of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine started working. It is not only about helping displaced children with art education. These include clothes and necessities, even generators, which art schools and libraries received last winter.
