Ivankiv spent a month under occupation. It began with columns of Russian machinery moving down the main street of the town. Olena filmed them all. Then she sent the video to her sister, who sent it to the military.

The fearless woman did not stay at home, she walked around the village, found out the news, and told others. She helped extinguish a fire that broke out in one of the five-storey buildings. She saw with her own eyes the looting of empty houses by russian soldiers.

When the Ukrainian military entered Ivankiv on April 1, she could not hold back her tears of happiness.
