“I was pregnant, and a family died next to us. They were our acquaintances – our eldest daughter’s class teacher and the school librarian. My husband covered me with a blanket to prevent shrapnel from hurting me. And then we went to the place of hit,” Kateryna recalls the most terrifying day in her life. Then she took photos of the destroyed houses and posted them on Instagram. People helped raise UAH 100,000, which was divided among the affected families. Due to frequent hits, Kateryna and her family decided to move to Kyiv. Now they live near the underground so that in case of danger they can immediately run there to hide.
