Yulia Kodenko's volunteer work began with the help to her brother and his fellows. Subsequently, her husband also went to war.  Then about a hundred defenders at the front were under the care of volunteers.

At the time of the invasion, Yulia was pregnant with her third child, but from the first days of the war, the woman could not stay away.  Together with fellow villagers, they began to collect aid for the military and civilians affected by the war. When Yulia gave birth, she did not give up volunteer work, on the contrary, she created a powerful movement in the community.

They chose a name for the team — "Bees". They explain that bees always work quickly and diligently. The participants of the volunteer cell call themselves "mad bees", because they are zealous in their work: they weave nets, bake, cook, and collect donations for army divisions. "If we give up, there will be no support. They rely on us, and we must help," the mother of many children emphasizes.
