«When it hit here, it felt like the war was closer than we thought»

When Myroslav found out about the outbreak of a full-scale war, he and other men organised night patrols. Now he remembers it with a smile, because in reality, people had no weapons or any plan, and they could hardly do anything against a real threat. But there was such a spirit of resistance then.

Myroslav works for DTEK. He tells us about the first shelling, when it became clear that the war was much closer than they thought. In the bunker, they could hear impacts, explosions and glass breaking. Communication was lost and it was unclear what happened to the colleagues who remained on the surface. Fortunately, everyone survived.
