Svitlana cannot recall her experiences without tears. On the first day of the invasion, they were woken up by rocket explosions. On her birthday, March 3, the occupiers captured most of the community. The russian military shelled Svitlana's village from three sides, and increasingly with cluster shells.

Svitlana took her daughter and granddaughter to Zaporizhzhia and returned home because she had no one to leave the farm to and her sick parents remained in the village. One day, three mines hit her parents’ house at once. The old people survived by a miracle.

The family left and returned several times. Now Svitlana is taking care of three bedridden relatives and does not give up hope of returning home.
