For many years she has been living and working in Suzhou (China). From the first days of the war the artist began to keep an art diary of the war.

April 28th. Irpin. Maya and Elvira clear out the crushed plastic window frames and other rubbish in their house. They are glad that were able to leave earlier, since the place where they hid was completely destroyed. I asked how it was - and Maya said: It was an incomparable feeling of utter helplessness. But their designer chandelier has remained completely untouched, which is real wonder.
