We left Donetsk when the war started. We lived there in a nine-story building near the train station.

We were hiding in basements, and when we didn't have time to escape, we hid under the table

Our granddaughter Angelica almost died in 2014. Her school was located near the Donetsk airport – and the attacks began.

We were hiding in basements, and when we did not have time to go down to the shelter, we were hiding under the table. We spent more than one night like this. We couldn't stand it for a long time and left.

We live in a hostel in Mariupol. We have no comfort and home, but it is quiet. I am disabled, I have a heart condition, and for the time being I can't get a place to live.
