In July 2023, Viktoriia’s 15-year-old daughter was walking with her little brother in the park near her home in Zaporizhzhia. When the missile strike occurred, the air raid alarm did not even go off. Viktoriia's daughter suddenly felt the shock wave. The girl received lacerated shrapnel wounds. Viktoriia immediately took her daughter to the hospital and that same evening they left the city.
