Oleksandr lived in war-torn Mariupol for almost a month. He saw how the Russians bombed the city, how they shot houses from tanks. He himself came under mortar fire when he went to fetch water with his brother. Oleksandr's mum died, unable to withstand the ordeal. Only on 21 March he managed to escape from Mariupol.
