The houses of residents of a gardening co-operative in the village of Moshchun suffered the most damage in March 2022. The locals endured real hell. There is not a single intact building left in this part of Moshchun.
Hanna Sivalnieva and her family found themselves in the thick of the events. Russians tried to get around Kyiv through Irpin. It was here, on the first line, that Hanna witnessed the military activities that were unfolding around them. Because of the shelling, dead woods caught fire in the floodplain of the Irpin River, and Hanna and her neighbors put out the fire under aimed fire from russians. They could die!
The Sivalnievs' house was later destroyed as well. The homestead they had been building for several years was destroyed by shells.
After active combat actions ended, Mrs. Hanna returned home to assess the damage. She has not lost hope! She started working in the vegetable garden, trying to reconnect with the land, which had always been a source of strength for her. The community in that part of the village became stronger than before the invasion.
