Olga, a resident of Kyiv, woke up with her husband to explosions on the first day of a full-scale war. Her son, who was in Mariupol, defended the city together with his brothers, and in May 2022 he executed the order to surrender from Azovstal. During these difficult days, Olha lived in anticipation of short messages from her son, which gave hope that he was alive.

Despite the horrors that the defenders went through, Olha and other relatives continue to fight for their release, organizing events to draw the world's attention to Ukrainian prisoners. She believes in the best and supports her son with prayer and an active position, because she knows: victory depends on everyone - both at the front and at home.
