Together with her daughter, Vitalina came under shelling in her dormitory. They had just moved to the 4th floor. And in the morning, a mine came. Her ex-husband Maksym lived on the 1st floor. At the time of arrival, he was sitting in the kitchen. He died instantly. “There are dead people lying right under my feet. Some were covered with something. Some with jackets, some with film. An elderly couple is lying on the road. They were walking and died together. I dreamed about them for a long time afterwards,” recalls Vitalina, a resident of Mariupol.
