Oleksandr Kononov was shot dead in his own home, in the wheelchair. Sanych, as friends called him, used to deliver necessary humanitarian consignments to the positions of the Ukrainian army since 2014. That’s why he was taken captive by the gunmen of “LNR” [“Luhansk People’s Republic” - temporarily occupied territory of the Luhansk region]. Oleksandr Bilokobylskyi, a reporter, wrote about his death on Facebook.
“Sanych. He was called Terminator in the dungeon - he was taken captive in 2014, when he was bringing the aid to our fighters. He had only one arm and one leg left. Still, he was called Terminator not because of this fact, but because he was invincible.”
After he was freed from captivity, he started his life anew in Zhytomyr region - he started farming, and took care of goats and sheep. He had his little cheese manufacturing place. Later, he returned to Luhansk region, where he lived in Borivske, near Severodonetsk, till he was murdered.
On March 13, Oleksandr was killed by the Russian invaders in his own house. “They rushed to his place and shot him dead right in his wheelchair. They came intentionally; some local warmongers told them where to go, told them where one Bandera supporter lived. We will win, Sanych. All bastards will be punished. All of them," - wrote Bilokobylskyi.
Rest in peace!
