In the besieged Mariupol, Serhii Ivankin said goodbye to life almost every day. Explosions, missile attacks and fires did not stop... His house was damaged by shelling. At the time of the attack, he and his wife were 15 steps away from the epicenter of the explosion. The blast wave was so strong that Serhii suffered a barotrauma and his ears were bleeding… The shelling was getting more and more intense every day. The Ivankin family decided to evacuate. They left under the bombardment. But the worst they had to endure was at Manhush. Once their documents were scrutinized at the checkpoint, the car was sent to an impound yard. The car was confiscated, and Serhii Ivankin was beaten, his ribs were broken, and almost shot to death…
