Rita managed to see both the panic in Kyiv and Vasylkiv burning under the explosions. Her husband joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the first minutes of the war, and she decided to leave the city. But she ended up in Vasylkiv, which was even closer to the hostilities. Her son helped her to hold on, he offered to collect the necessary ingredients for Molotov cocktails. It helped distract her from the panic.

In mid-March, Rita’s director from the Kyiv Palace of Children and Youth called and suggested an evacuation abroad - to Albania. They had to gather a group of children and teachers, and Oksana Mykolaivna found the bus. Rita talks in detail about the difficulties during crossing the border. And then - about the trip to Europe, the educational process they organized in Albania. And, of course, about returning home.
