The hopes of civilians from Donbass for peace look different. Sometimes like this – like a bunch of small keys to the office in Horlivka town.
In 2014, when the shooting began in the town, Svitlana Kyrychek wrote a leave request, locked up the office and left for the seaside with the whole family. At that time, she thought that it would just be a holiday or a leave trip.
However, like thousands of fellow townsmen, she did not return home.
Svitlana and her family have been living in Zaporizhzhya for five years, and all this time she kept has been keeping the office keys sincerely hoping to return home soon.
In 2019, Svitlana Kyrychek handed over this bunch of keys from her office in Horlivka town to the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation. So that the whole world could learn about her hope to return home. From now on, these keys will be exhibited in the museum.
