Nova Kakhovka: stories of the catastrophe

Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant explosion: stories of people who survived the technogenic catastrophe.

On June 6, 2023, russia committed one more crime: exploded the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant at night. Big water flooded a part of villages located along the Dnipro river. A part of Kherson was also under water.

Ukraine will assess all the consequences of this crime later. Ecological and economic, they will reverberate for many years after our Victory.

But we must not forget any story of a person who faced this horror - when your house goes under water in the middle of the night.

The history of this catastrophe has been collected by The Museum of Civilian Voices, founded by Rinat Akhmetov in a separate collection.
