‘Our family escaped, just wearing shorts and carrying our passports in the pockets’

On 21 July 2014, we heard the first shooting in our town, in Horlivka, and on 27 July, a shell hit the neighbouring section in our apartment block. A lot of innocent civilians were killed on that day.

Our family managed to miraculously escape, just wearing shorts and carrying our passports in the pockets, without any things and without any understanding what to do next.
